Anyone tell me where I can find the engine code on a 2000 1.9 Diesel Elegance? garry
Didn't do a 1.9 diesel in 2000. You should have got a little car with the car with radio, security and key codes on it. Will have engine code on that. Or in front of service book if dealer has done their job right. Or on a white label behind the "fan" belt. Or engraved on the front of the block.
What do you mean by code? Engine type/number should be in service book but any Vauxhall dealer will identify it in seconds. The ECU/immobiliser code is different. If you don't have the code card it and you cannot get the details from the original dealer it will cost you £15 - £20 at a dealer for a search. Also, as stated above, not only did they not do a 1.9 diesel in 2000 they never did one on the old shape Zafira. It was always 2 litre (2068cc?). Alan
