We have had a Zafira for nearly two years and the starter motor burnt
out, whilst in the garage picking up a £450.00 bill there was a Corsa
    - same problem!!

How many Vauxhall drivers have experienced the same problem, only to be
told by Vauxhall that they are not aware of any problems with steering
column switches and starter motors burning out?

I can't believe that many people have had the same problem - paying £450
    for a replacement starter motor.

I have a Corsa with the Izuzu engine... I have had two starter motors
fitted... One was FUBAR by my breaking it... and the other blew of its own
    accord...

Both times it cost no more that £100 with a year or two's warranty.

I have just picked up a bill for £450 as well for a starter motor that
had been replaced 2 months ago. Prior to that they had replaced it
within two weeks and about 4 months before that again. They keep on
blaming something new each time and sometimes have some very strange
explanations for why this keeps on happening. In total I have had 5
starter motors in the past 1 1/2 years alone.
I have asked them to investigate but they always say some nice excuse.
So I wonder how this can be brought to the attention of the
    manufacturer?
