Zafira 2.0DTi - Anybody got a test/road reports ?

Has anyone got one ? How good are they?

 

Im sure lots of people will probably disagree, but I have one and I love it.
Ok, its no sports car, but its a mid sized MPV that can carry 7 people
relativly well and 5 in good comfort.

Mine was an import (Vauxhall badged except Engine and steering wheel) and
cost £13,500 in Elegance trim. Only differencs inside are lack of alarm,
steering wheel remote for stereo and sun roof. I was gonna change the stereo
anyway, so the remote didnt bother me and it has air con, so no real need
for a roof either. What it does have over the UK spec is Cruise control and
a 9 function fuel/trip computer.

It costs me £100 (give or take £5) for a annual service (or 20k whichever is
soonest) and does anything from 40 to 50 to the gallon depending on how it
os driven. Mines is chipped by Superchips so should be around 130 bhp
instead of standard 100 so will accelerate well and do well over 100mph (in
theory ;-/ )

I think the only car in the class that can beat it is the new VW mpv (cant
remember the name of it) but all the others such as megane scenic, picasso,
multipla, focus c-max etc only have the 5 seats.

Only way to know for sure is get 24hour test drive of any car in your
shortlist.
