Zafira 1.6 cruise control?

I've heard that a simple stalk change enables cruise control on my 53 plate
1.6 Active. Is this correct or would I be wasting cash to buy the stalk?

Wasting your money, so much electronics on cars now, it would be pointless
just omitting a switch , on modern cars even the headlights work via some
computer.

 

Had this chat before but no one said a definite yes or no.
You would need a new stalk, a clutch pedal switch and possibly a different
brake light switch. Then you would need to go to a dealer to get the ecu
programming changed to show cruise control as being fitted.
My own opinion is that yes it would work but can't be 100% sure.

 

and don't forget the extra wiring for the stalk
my 53 1.6 club doesn't have the wiring :-(

Depends if the wiring is near the stalk.

If it is its just a case of fitting a stalk and perhaps a clutch switch
if
not fitted, then try it. If it dont work ask your dealer to enable it
via
TECH 2 (about £20)

If the wiring isnt there, it is still possible, but requires running 3
wires
to a multi plug behind the glovebox.

I think I will be investigating in the next week or two (too busy right
now).

from what I've read so far, the first port of call is to remove the shroud
from the steering column and see iff there is another plug (taped to the
loom) that the extra wiring for the CC switches plugs into,
