Vectra Engine Light, loses power...

    Hi

    Does anyone know why my Ventra's engine light sometime comes on and
    the car loses power at the same time?

    It's intermittent and turning off the engine for 5 seconds seems to
    solve the problem until for a bit. It only seems to be a problem after
    the car has been moving for a bit after being started from cold.

    Any advice would be gratefully received.
