vectra 2003 sump lug removal

    Hi
    I have a vectra 2003 1.8 16 v, and I am wondering what tool I must use
    to remove my sump plug if any one could tell me please.
    Also I have bought 5W 40 fully synthetic oil, I hope this is the right
    one, could any one confrim this?
    I looked at halfords, and for some reason the oil filter they quoted
    looked like a paper type, similar to an air filter? yet looking on my
    engine, I can clearly see a normal oil filter, and my local motor shop
    also agreed a normal oil filter was required, not sure if halfords have
    their books label wrong or what?
