    My engine on a 1.9DTi Zafira, 06 plate, 8000 miles developed a
problem. Vauxhall agreed to change it under warranty. The main dealer
has now had it for four weeks and it's still not complete. The
factory let them down initially with the delivery of the engine and
now the dealer says it is a complicated job taking longer than
expected. I've got a courtesy car but am now getting brassed off.
Any similar experiences? Any thoughts? Any compensation chance?

Complicated job? an engine change? Either a simple job is beyond your
dealers capabilities, or they're trying to diagnose and fix a fault on
the original engine. Anyway 4 weeks is far too long. You need to get
them to state in writing what's going on to make sure you get what you
expect when it's handed back to you. Is the courtesy car the same, or at
least a late model Zafira? After this length of time you could well ask
for an equivalent. IF the faulty car was less than 6 months old you can
claim it was inherently faulty when new, and push for a prompt
replacement, but now that you've allowed repairs you may have less
rights. Best to consult with a consumer rights lawyer if you want to go
    that route.
