I am trying to refill the air con in a Zafira 2.0DTi, but can't find
    the filler portal.
The low pressure portal is at the front of the car, but the high
pressure one, which takes the gas, is apparently elsewhere, and I
    can't find it.

    Anyone know where it is?

Yeah, that's how my kids manage to get half a ton of broken fast food
toys & general crap in my car...

I would not have thought the diesel was much different than a petrol
model -air con layout wise- and our HP union is at the front on the lhs of
condenser and LP union is in the engine bay by the drivers side wing.

It is, but you might have to remove some of the induction piping to see it.
Its right up almost at the bulkhead.

Which is a little worrying if the original poster thinks filling is
performed by the HP connection and not the LP one. We removed the ducting
as you mentioned and the removable front section of the plastic tray that is
attached to the top of the bulkhead so we could get the can and its short
    hose onto position.
