Vauxhall Omega Climate Control won't vent where venting's required

The ECU is incorporated in the climate control panel.
Just remove the dash switch panel and there are two connectors plugged in
the back of the climate control unit/ECU - the yellow one on the N/S can
come out without invitation, so make sure it stays put (it unplugs by
pulling out the black plastic retaining clip).
After the first hard reset, I had different temps on left and right.
