Unusual tyre wear on Omega

Discussion in 'Omega' started by Patrick E. King, Sep 16, 2004.

  1. Just noted that the OSF tyre is showing excessive wear on the inside inch of
the tread around the full circumference of the tyre.
NSF tyre is fine as are the rear.
    Any ideas please?
    TIA

It could be the wheel alignment. It could also be "radial belt slip", which
is a manufacturer flaw. Examination by a good tyre depot should confirm.

  5. I would have thought that Toe-in/tracking would have affected both front
    tyres...No?
To be more precise about the wear it almost seems to be distributed evenly
between the sidewall and the tread.

The front camber is adjustable on Omega - two bolts where the strut joins
the hub. You need a garage that has camber checking equipment to set your
    car up correctly.
