Solar Charger Connectors

    I've got a solar charger but the cigarette lighter connection is useless. It
    comes with crocodile clips that you can attach instead but I don't think
    they'd stay on if you close the bonnet (2001 Vectra (b) Sri 130). Can you
    buy stubbier crocodile clips that would allow me to keep the solar charger
    connected directly to the battery and keep the bonnet closed?
    The car is SORN atm so I could do with a solution to save setting up the
    charger every couple of weeks.

    You could always attach the clips to chassis end of the earth cable and
    the solenoid live cable provided there is enough wire.
