On previous Vauxhalls I have reset the "INSP" warning by holding the trip
reset and switching on the ignition.

This method no longer seems to work. Is there another method or is it reset
by a programming tool or PC?

    Thanks for any help.

put your foot on the brake pedal and do it again - it takes longer than the
old ones used to so press it for longer.

I can report that the 53 Signum (vectra) does not require the brake pedal,
just a seemingly endless 30 second hold of the button.

Yes, my 04 Signum was the same.

I also saw one description for a Vauxhall saying to put the sidelights on
before turning on the ignition, although this was not necessary on mine.

This worked on my wife's 2004 Corsa CDTI when I serviced it in June.

    Ignition Off
    Hold Trip Reset In
Still Holding Trip Reset wait for Insp 0 to appear then press brake pedal.
Still Holding Trip Reset and brake pedal pressed turn on Ignition.
Hold like this until Insp ---- (flashing), wait 10 secs until changes to
    next mileage reset.
Release trip reset button and brake pedal, miles or clock should reappear.

Funny you should mention that, wear a garlic necklace as well!

Got it out of the Haynes manual for 03 to 06 Corsa CDTI.
Worth it just for that paragraph.
