hi, i have a 98 vectra cdx 2.0l i have only had it about 2 months, when

i bought it the rear demist and heated mirrors didn't work, assuming it

was a faulty relay or fuse i set upon changing both but with no joy, i
have also changed the switch on the dash and still no joy, i was
wondering if anyone could offer a solution before i start to tear the
rest of my hair out, i have checked the wires behind the switch all
seems ok, i've also checked behind the fuse box and can't find anything

wrong there either, i am usualy pretty good with electrics but this has

    baffled me, HELP

Did you change the right relay? K1 works both the mirrors and glass ( K121
just does mirrors ) so stands to reason that if you have lost both then this
will be the problem area. The relay gets feed from fuse 3 (40 amp) but
relies on a thing called a multi timer to turn it on. The switch tells the
multi timer to turn on the glass/mirrors. It lives inside the fuse box and
    they are usually very reliable.
If you turn the heated glass switch on it should send a feed to terminal 4
on the multitimer and then the outputs are J3 = glass and J4 = mirrors.
    Hope this helps.

i got the relay from vauxhall dealers but checked before i bought it it
is a brown relay, the rear demist and mirror demist works of the same
switch, the mirrors themselfes are working ok just don't demist, but i
will check out what you have told me, thanks for your help :)

K1 is in the fuse box in the car - bottom row on the right as you look at
    it.

there are no relays at the bottom of the fuse box they all run along
the top, there are 5 small one's with 3 big one's directly underneath
them, and then the fuses run underneath them at the bottom in 2 rows ?

It will be a big one and if memory serves me right it is the last one on the
right. Is this the one you changed?
