    Hi

I'm in the market for a Rascal Pickup. The only pickup which might fit in my
garage! However, does anyone know if they actually made many, because I
don't think I've ever seen one. I know where to get a van but I'd prefer a
    pickup.

    Any ideas welcome!!!

    Thanks!

I'm in the market for a Rascal Pickup.
Rascal production ceased long ago and few survive - they were utterly
horrible rust buckets and were not designed with longevity in mind. A
search on Autotrader reveals just 9 for sale nationwide - no pickups (even
in its heyday, Rascal pickups were very rare).

Suzukis from the same period were more or less identical to the Rascal, also
    horrible.

The Daihatsu Hijet pickup was similar but superior to the Rascal and Suzuki,
    but again, they're very rare.

The Suzuki Carry and Daihatsu Hijet are still in production (although,
presumably, with updated models) but pickups are still very rare used. New
ones are not that expensive and if you can find a used one you shouldn't
have to pay too much - even if you buy a late model.

They are all petrol engined but newer engines should be more fuel efficient
than the Rascal which suffered terrible economy.

Oh, by the way, you wouldn't want to be in an accident in any of these. All
the built-in rigidity of an empty coke can...
