    Hi All
I have a lockout on the car radio after battery failure. I have had the
radio changed but do not have the code. If I give Vauxhall (direct) the
code on the radio and the chassis no on the vehicle/ vehicle pass card -
will they release the new code to me or do I have to use a Vx dealer?
If I can go to Vx direct, does anybody have an address / email address/
    phone no please?
    TIA
    Bob

    basically anywhere will do.
most car radio shops can do them with just a serial no.
you don't have to go to vx. just find the cheapest
    might be about £10-15

    Hi Mike & All
I checked it out & Vx locally do the code & removal of the set to get the
serial no for £15+vat but say it may take 2-3days from Vx - seems a long
    time!
    Thanks for your help
    Cheers

They should do it online so the codes will be immediate. If you want a
new Car Pass that does need to be posted. It is worth having the Car
Pass as well as it includes key & immobiliser codes.

    Hi
Alan - many thanks, a very useful and knowledgeable response as ever. As
the local Vx dealer was only 15+vat it wasn't a bad deal and they knew me
too so I didn't have to produce the old pass. Yes I went for the Pass as I
wasn't sure what was current and what was not! so I now have a nice new
shiny, encapsulated card instead of a grubby feint old style.
The journey to Nottingham was the decider too much silence and too many
speed cameras (mostly digi averaging) to cope with. :)<((.
All sorted now & thanks again for the useful tips too.
    Cheers all
    Regards
    Bob
