    Hi,

I have ordered a new programmed key for my 2000 Zafira. I have played for the
key / fob and chip, but I was told that when they arrive I will have to pay
for the programming separately. Does this programming have to be done by the
dealer, or is it the one were you hold the close button for a given time>>

    Thanks

    Hi,

Unfortunately it has to be programmed by a dealer - cost about 25 quid ish.

The key is not programmed - the cars computer is simply told to accept the
new code that the new key is transmitting.

Takes a good 30 seconds to do

So the cars computer will then accept the new keys code, and my original keys
    code??

£3000 per hour! They don't call them the main stealers for nothing! Last
time I went, it worked out at £150 per hour.

I had to pay for the key, but was told I would have to pay the service dept
    for the programming.
