  1. Hey there, ive got a weird problem with my car:
when i start it up, its making a bobling noise, from the exhaust, its juts
not right to drive either.. when i put my foot down, it sorta lags.
Checked the timing, and its spot on! and i mean spot on, ive also changed
the spark plugs, just cant work out the problem. Any ideas?
    Its a Mk3 1.4i 1992 astra

    Hope someone can help
    Cheers

  2. Check the pressure coming out of the exhaust. Astras are well known for bad
    catalysers.

also .. how about a faulty injector sensor to the ECU.
if it's that type of engine.

  4. is there any way to tell about the faulty injector sensor to the ECU?
problem arose after my radiator went
So while i was putting that in, i changed the timing belt, changed the
plugs, changed the thermostat, and the head gaskett..
now it drives fine, its just hard to explain what its doing wrong.

Its like spluttering, but not the usual sound of a splutter, seems like its
going to backfire or something :S

If the noise disappears when the car has warmed up a bit then it could be
the exhaust. i had a similar - almost seeming like backfiring on my Vectra
and it needed a new back box

  6. naah its more of a constant thing, it is quite weird though, sounds like it
should be the timing, but as i say; thats spot on :S

Thanks for all the help though
