problem with remote PT2

    ok

    just spoke to the guy who i ordered the remote from.

    and as has been said on this newsgroup, it needs coding.

    any idea how much this will cost me? and can it be done from the chasis
    number?

    You will have to take it to a Vauxhall dealer and ask them but I doubt they
    can code it.

    Is it second-hand from a different car? If so, the built in code won't match
    your car!

    You may have to buy a new one

    These are normally ordered for specific cars. if you know the 4 digit
    security number of your car a Vauxhall dealer can re-programme it.
