    Hi guy's

Every time I get in my 03 Zafira I
    a) have to turn the cd/radio on manually -even though it's auto on
    b) it scans for stations.

All my presets are still there but I'm slightly confused as my other Zafira
with the same radio you turn the ign and the radio starts where it left
    off..

    Any ideas

    Cheers

two possibilities: the "always on" power lead is not live, or there is a
lot of interference on the power line from a close to failure charging
    system

On my radio which is not a phillips there is a press button combination
which alters the way the radio behaves when it is switched on - does yours
    have this?

Ah yes mine isn't a Phillips after all. Don't know where I got that from :-/

No it's the std VDO Siemens car 500 thing..

I did try to use the buttons to auto on as per manual but it doesn't change.
I wonder if it's the fuse as mentioned above??

I shall have to pull it and check see

I think if the 'always on' wasnt live then you would have to re-enter the
security code very time you turned the engine off/on.

Just to bring you up to date;-)

Found that there was an aftermarket phone car kit which worked through the
speakers. It appears this was the culprit as when I removed it from the loom
it all worked as per normal..
