I have a astra estate made in 2002,
it is the 8v club model.
I have a light on the dash in which the manual says it is for the oxygen
sensor but the emissions are ok.
so I was wondering could it be the sensor which is faulty or something else
    ????
is there away of testing the sensor ??

all ideas and suggestions are welcome.

yep does get clogged with crap
drop it out and give it a clean though i'd check the connector first.
as you sure this is just the oxygen sensor light?
    new one on me though.

there is a site with some info on somewhere.

    i'll look later if req

    hi mike.
i was told that it is a 02 sensor.
it is in the exhaustpipe after the manifold but before the cat.
its just behind the rad on the downpipe and has four wires connected to it
    (cant remember the colours though)

    ah that one.
it a fav for getting its connections knocked, worn or burnt.
    or even rusted away.

    if they look ok.
unbolt the beasty and if u can get it out
check its surface plate (the bit that goes inside the exhaust) is not
    covered in crap.
