    the radio & date display has gone on my 1996 omega has anybody got any idea
    what could be the problem.I would be grateful for any ideas on this thanks.

  2. The date display is dependant on the radio connsrction I believe as when I
    replaced my radio for an mp3 player, the date turns off when the radio is on
    and vice versa. Don't what the trouble could be if your radio is copmpletely
    dead apart from the obvious like a fuse.

    The radio & cd still works just doesnt show stations,date or temperature

    My 97 omega has the same problem although its intermittent ,jigling the
    radio normally sorts it so its probably a bad connection on the multi plug
    the radio slots into.

    Have you had the stereo out lately?

    I would remove the stereo and make sure it is located firmly back into
    place.

    Failing that I imagine you have a loom fault or even a faulty display.

    I would have thought that a Vauxhall dealer with Tech2 could assist so I
    would talk to your nearest dealer.

    Hi thanks all for the help no it does not light up at all and I cant see
    anything at all on screen I dont want to take the CD player out as I wont be
    able to input the code with a blank screen J.Parry

    Worth seeing if your display is unplugged or if the bulbs have gone before
    you start looking for anything else.
