Further to a previous message I posted, I've still got a problem with
with my '98 Omega 2.5 Tourer Estate - a juddering vibration which
occurs when deccelerating. Seems to be engine connected as it occurs
at a particar engine speed - around 2,700-2,900 - irrespective of road
speed as it happens in all gears. Noise disappears as soon as
accelerating or when clutch depressed. Main agents suspected
driveshaft/rubbers initially but as noise is engine based they are
    foxed at the moment.
    Any ideas anyone?

can you get it to do it whilst stationary ?
could be clutch or worse still, gearbox bearing. but don`t quote me ,

I maybe wrong, I usually am when I`m not right, & people have been known to
    say that about me

No, vibration doesn't happen when stationary, so to my mind that means
that the source could quite possibly be the gearbox as it's definitelt
before the prop shaft and, apparently, after the engine which leaves
only the g'box. It's in at the main agent at the moment seeing if
they can sort it so I'll let you know the outcome.

    thanks for reply
