My Omega 3.0 mv6 98, has just started missing really badly under
acceloration. My wife complained last week of it missing while ticking over
at traffic lights, just the occational beat missed. I noticed the samething
today while stationary with it ticking over. When I pulled away, it started
to miss, and continued the same all the way home. The idel seams ok with
just the odd hickup, tried switching the ignition off and back on to reset
the ecu but its still the same, I'll give it a try later when its cooled
down. Any ideas as to a probable cause???????????

    Cheers Russ.

  3. Dubster is most probably correct. Check the boots over the plugs.

    Russ,
If your car is anyware near due a plug change (every 40k i think)
then do it. I've had loads at 30k ish with a misfire. And also
"alledged" plug changes where the garage has changed the easy bank of
plugs, but not the one's that are difficult to change.
Leads are also common, as are DIS packs.
Ether way the bits are VERY expensive 6 leads = £180.00, DIS pack=
    £120.00
    Hope this helps,
