    Hi,

my Omega is loosing coolant, and needs topping up everyday, about a litre,
but when i look for the leak
on the drive way i cant see it escaping, does the car need to be moving to
    find the problem?

    thanks

doubt it, be mighty diff to find it by a trail of drips anyway.
    how about running the engine?
look for water falling into bucket holes or casing holes on the engine.
either rthat or try a pressure test

Having just been through this depressing scenario myself - how's your
head gasket? Check for bubbles in the header tank when the engine is
warm - if there are any it's almost certainly the head gasket on the
    way out.

Other psossibility is the heater matrix ( even more expensive to fix
properly); but I think you'd notice that much coolant leaking into the
    footwells.

Lastly , are you revving the engine when checking for leaks? I ahs a
split hose on my Omega v6 which only showed up when the engine was
    around 3000rpm+

    Good luck....

    Thanks for the replies,

After reveing the car a bit the leaked showed itself, Thanks for that
suggestion, the coolant was leaking from a rectangular box right in the
middle underneath the car, is that the oil cooler?, anyway
I tightenned the bolts and the leak stopped, there must be some sort of seal
which may be on the way out, but the bolts did seem a little loose to.

    thanks
