Is there any way to deactivate the Immobilizer on a vauxhall omega? It
came on while driving and wil not deactivte.

if it will not do it via the ignition key in the drivers door as per the
    manual
if u got a disarming sequence credi ttype card or WHY with the manual
    go thru that routine.
    if that does not work
look in the book for any fuses feeding the various alarm bits
pull them all & leave the car that way for about 45 mins.
pop the fuses back in & try again.

Can't see any reference to using the key in the way you've described or
a disarming sequence in the manual. The master key has a sender unit on
it which when pressed, operates the central locking and deactivates the
immobilizer. I've put new batteries in but it still won't work. Still
to try the fuse thing though.
    Thanks for the suggestions.

On a lot of the Vauxhalls...turn on ignition within 30 seconds (make sure
interior light is off) press lock remote button to re synchronise (doors may
lock unlock & interior light flashes).
I seem to remember that on the omega the key/remote needed parting and the
remote pointed at the interior light within 30 seconds.

Cost me £168. £35 to have it taken to the dealership (approx. 1.5
miles), £61 for a "Lab Report" and re-programming, and £41 for a new
sender unit that clips on to the original key and the balance being the
    vat. Jeeeeeeeeezzzzzzz.
