Omega Engine Electronic Light

Hi,

I have a 1998 Omega CD 2.0 petrol. When I stop at the traffic light, say
after 10 seconds when engine is at idle speed, the Engine Electronic Light
comes up. As soon as I rev it or start moving, it goes away.

In the last two years cam shaft, crank shaft and exhaust sensors have been
replaced.

Does anyone have any guess what it might be, before I take it to Vauxhall
for
computer check?

i'd be inclined to get an idea by using the paperclip trip & reading the
light flashes, just so i had an idea about what to expect them to talk
about, & not rip me off.
might even be idle speed.

Thanks for the reply Mike,

I thought it might be Idel Speed Control Valve as I took it out 3 months ago
and cleaned it with carb cleaner. I think time has come to replace the
part.

You can reset the unit if you have the electronic dash turn the key
till ignition light come on at the same time holding the trip button
in after about 10 seconds it will beep / flash release and drive for
a bit see if the problem is still there.
