Omega 2.5-TD injection timing

    Can the injection timing on the BMW M51 2.5-TD engine be checked
    electronically ?

    Or is it only possible with a dial inidicator in the pump ?

    Dial gauge in back of pump - why are you checking it?

    I bought it a few weeks ago - and the pick-up below 2,500 rpm is pretty
    abysmal (compared to my old 2.5-TD).
