No heat from cabin heater

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by 405 TD Estate, Oct 9, 2006.

  1. The cabin heater produces no heat. Before I got the car the head gasket
had gone I believe - there is still some oil in the water that I can't
    remove.

When the water is fully upto temp there is no heat from the cabin
heater - the fan works - is the heater matrix broke? Anything else it
    could be?

How big a job (to do myself) is the heater matrix?

Presumably using a bleed valve or disconnection the top hose and overfill
whilst reconnecting. make sure you have something to catch the overfill.....
