52 Reg (New) Vauxhall Vectra just gone out of 3 year warranty by 3 months
and drivers side seat belt has gone faulty. i.e. it does not wind back up.

Has anyone had similar problems.? Is it easy to replace bearing in mind
that there is an airbag at the top of the pillar where the seat belt is?
Has anyone had any luck with complaining to Vauxhall's about a faulty item
    out of warranty.

Local dealer has quoted 2 hours work @ £60/hour and parts £50, total about
£195. Seems high to just change a seat belt.

    Any experiences/help appreciated

    Neil from Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

Simply write a polite letter to Vauxhall giving details of the problem
explaining that you feel that this fault should not have occurred and that
it is a safety item, and see what they say.

I've always found their customer service department extremely helpful in
this kind of thing. Go to the VX web site to get the address of their head
    office (Luton I think).
