Magnex or IRMSCHER

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Father Jack Hackett, Jun 3, 2004.

  1. Hi, I going to be getting an exhaust sorted out for my 2003 Astra SXI

I'm having problems choosing the Vauxhall Irmscher back box or going full on
for a full stainless Magnex system, I've had a Magnex on a car I owned about
5 years ago and it sounded like a Aston martin and really give a nice sound
    and looked smart.

The only thing that I'm worried about is if I get a full system what happens
to the CAT? does it fit into the magnex system or do they have to remove it
(which I'm not sure is road legal)

    Can anyone help

    Thanks

    Pete

You can get a system from the cat back. This is what I have on my car. I
would recomend a custom built exhaust but watch where you go.

I'm having problems choosing the Vauxhall Irmscher back box or going
Absolutely nothing, unless you specify you want to bypass it.
Full systems are generally "cat-back", meaning they start from where the
    cat leaves off.
Removing your cat is perfectly legal, providing your emissions are still
    within the legislated tolerance levels.

I think you'll find it was a response to a spam message, which had been
    slipped between the pages.
