Well - following a problem with the car being hard to start after being stood unused for a day or two, I finaly changed the leak off pipes from the diesel injectors. Blimey ! should have done it ages ago. The original rubber pipes had gone hard and disintegrated. One literely broke up when I attempted to remove it. The replacment pipe loks as if it is made from a much better material. So I would say "Got a Vectra with the 2.0 or 2.2DTi engine?", Yes? "Then change the leak off pipes". The car is an X/2000 by the way. I suspect that the same engine(s) used in the Astra also sufers from the same problem Dave
