Here it is, my Engine Management Light is just flashing... :-(

  1. Vectra 1.8i, Siemens Simtec 56.5 ECU. Paperclip method, Code 1530, Air Flow
    Relay. Without asking me to buy a Haynes manual, could someone please tell
    me if I'm going to:
    1) fix it by myself with a screwdriver, a tester, some other tools, a spare
    part and a bit of patience;
    2) fork out my share of dosh and take it to a garage;
    3) bin the car.

    So Jeremy Clarksons is right ;-)

    There's a prob: Ive found around two different descriptions for the 1530
    code, one is related to the "Air Flow Relay", another to the "Air
    Conditioning HI/LO" relay.

    Well, I don't have AirCon, so I suppose the right interpretation should be
    "Air Flow Relay".
    BTW, this means the relay that drives the pad that switches the air flow to
    the engine from the summer inlet to the winter inlet, innit?

    Where is it?

    Cheers!

    i would guess in one of the two fuse/relay compartments.
    it should be labelled.
