heater blower problems

    I have a 1996 (N) 1.7TD vauxhall vectra, which up until now I have had no
    problems with.

    The problem I have, is the heater blower has stopped working on all three
    speed settings, it comes on now and again put dies with a couple of minutes.
    If you slam the drivers door a few times this seems to get it going, but
    again it dies after a few minutes.

    anybody got any ideas. ( i have cheked the fuse in the fuse box this is ok)
    are there any other fuses i could check?


    all help would be much appreciated
