Gasping engine on 1.8 Vectra C

The engine in my 1.8 petrol vectra C makes a gasping sound in low gears. It
seems to be fine 4rth onwards. But the gasping in low gears is very
annoying, especially now that its a bit more prominent than it used to be.
Is this something i should be worried about. Maybe its just an air filter or
something. The car is a 2002 model and is still under warranty. Any answers
???

 

yep, or the breather pipes to the throttle area, the one from
the top cover across by the ICV always gets clogged.

check that as well

unless its more like a hissing sound.. my mate had that on his 1.8 vectra
and as it was a comp car would constantly thrash it, turns out he had
cracked the head oh and burned 4 fag holes in the seats

even though he wasnt meant to smoke or thrash it.. now the comp are paying
it as he refused to (they only pay for certain wear and tear).. thought he
was pretty big but there now giving him a 1.2 corsa bwahahaha serves him
right i say!
