Engine oil preference

    Hi
    I'm due to change the oil in my 99 Vectra 2.5 and I was wondering if there
    was any particular type or brand of oil that anyone can recommend.

    semi synth i use castrol.
    ##though the vauxhall stuff aint too badly priced.

    The exact spec is in the service book. Any decent quality semi
    synthetic to the right rating will do but the Vauxhall stuff is decent
    and reasonably priced.

    With regards oil filter though I would always use a genuine one along
    with a new sump plug washer.
