  1. Any of you clever chaps got any idea's on my 2 problems?

    1. When I hit the brake pedal the offside front side light comes on.

    2. if i drive the car at night with the lights on and turn the ignition off
before the lights the engine will continue to run even with the key
removed,if you then turn the lights off the engine will stop.

i must admit I've no idea where to start on these two problems, any help
    would be appreciated.

You have got a brake/side light bulb in wrong or wrong bulb fitted.
Brake circuit is feeding light circuit and light circuit is feeding brake
circuit which is feeding ignition so car runs.

GUESS YOU SHOULD CHECK THE BRAKE BULBS-EITHER WRONG ONE FITTED (SINGLE OR
DOUBLE FILEMENT) OR THE BULB ITSELF IS SHORTED INSIDE.
    WE SEE LOADS OF THEM
    SEE YA

  7. Got to be a bad earth in my opinion.

Electricity flows through the circuit of lowest resistance. If you have a
bad earth it could go back through anything and cause a whole host of
    problems!

    Good luck

There's always the possibility that one of the brake light bulbs is
incorrect... If a single element bulb has been fitted, instead of a double,
this will caused a current flow into the lighting system.
