Once my car is out of warranty, if I get a warning light my VX dealer is
going to charge me £50 quid (probably plus VAT) to simply read the
    diagnostic code...

.... and I'm not in to tricks with paper clips/counting number of
    bleeps/flashes of LEDs

...So - is there a kit I can get to plug in to the car to give me the code, ?
