I know you could retro-fit cruise to a fully cabled "old" zafira by
replacing the stalk and getting TECH2 set-up properly - if the correct
bits were on the pedals, etc.

Can you do this with the "new" zafira? A friend has bought a 1.9CDTi
Design and was wondering. I told him to remove the cover over the
steering column and see, but he wanted some reassurance that it would
    be worth doing...

    I said I'd ask.

    Thanks

Cant give a definate yea or nay to this (But I did retro fit cruise to out X
reg 1.8 zaf). The throttle control on our zaf is a 'fly by wire' type. I.e.
controlled electrically by a stepping motor. I can understand not wanting to
pull the shroud apart on the offchance, but get them to lift the bonnet and
look to see if there is a mechanical throttle cable linkage. If so then its
probably not worth the hassle, as you have to install all sorts of crap to
    mechanically pull the cable.

this can be done with only a new indicator stalk which pops into the column
module and possibly a clutch switch which i think one is already fitted to
the diesel model, then program with tech 2 the cim, engine and instruments. i
    havedoethis a few times now.
