Anyone know roughly how I should expect to pay for a replacement fuel tank
for a 96 Corsa 1.5 GLS TD? Are they relatively easy to fit and does the fuel
    system need bleeding after?

    Thanks in advance.

Whats happened to yours? mines developed a leak half way up, so I can
now only half fill the tank, with Diesel. I was hoping to find some
way of repairing it. It is difficult to actually see where the leak is
coming from, as fuel runs round the top of the flanges, of the two
halves. Does anybody have experience of the same problem?, I would buy
a replacement tank of ebay tomorrow, but its not so easy as I live in
Spain, and parts are not so cheap as they are in the UK>

Just done my sons 1.2 petrol 93 Corsa, if this is any help. I got a good one
from a scrapyard for £20. Leak was in the same place above the seam at the
back. We tried "Petro patch" sealant twice but the leak got worse every time
we cleaned the rust off. To change the tank involved running it almost
empty, removing the exhaust and handbrake cable(leave it connected to the
brakes). The petrol pipe connectors near the front of the tank were stiff
but freed off with WD40 and the wiring plug came off easy. Then as I don't
have a pit we jacked it up really high using axle stands on the back axle
and between the 2 of us unbolted the tank straps and dropped it out. After
fitting the replacement and putting petrol in, it started OK and no bleeding
    was necessary.

Thanks. I've looked on eBay and elsewhere and I've found somewhere other
than the auction site. For anyone else interested, it's Fuel Tanks Direct
and Corsa tanks are £49.20 +VAT and Delivery.

I've arranged for my local garage to fit it for around £70 and that includes
draining the old tank and refilling the new one. I don't have the facilities
to fit it myself so I'll best leave it to the professionals.

Looks like the seam at the back is a common place for the leak. My wife
normally keeps it less than half full but filled it recently and it started
    leaking.
I made it worse when I cleared away some of the road muck etc to find out
where the leak was. It's leaking from around the flat lip that protrudes
from the middle of the seam.
