I'm looking to fit a CD Multichanger to my October 2003 Corsa. Anyone done
anything similar? Not sure if I'll put the changer box in the boot or under
the passenger seat - any advice?

    Cheers

Depends. I had a multi changer fitted into the glove compartment of my old
vectra. Better than the boot or under the seat.

Blaupunkt do an in-dash CD changer unit and i was considering getting
one to fit along with a standard Blaupunkt headunit in my Corsa C, but
the 'double DIN' space left by the factory fit stereo isn't quite big
enough for two single DIN units. Such an arrangement would be better in
an Astra G which does have two seperate DIN sized spaces.

Have you considered the Vauxhall CD changer & tape player unit? I think
it's CCR2006 and comes as an option on the Corsa (and standard on
some/all SRi spec). They occasionally appear on eBay (or you could get
a new one from Vauxhall but they'd be quite pricey I imagine).

Should just slot into the space vacated by your current stereo and you
get a tuner, CD changer and cassette player all in one unit in your
    dash.

The Vauxhall ones are surprisingly reasonably priced providing you
curently have a non-DAB CDR2005 or the similar cassette unti.

The CCR2006 replaces the stereo with a similar unit containing a
cassette player and a 4-disc changer. There is no rewiring or messing
    around.

Full retail cost from Vauxhall is £400 incl VAT but I can supply one
for £350 incl VAT & delivery.

Mine is a brand new genuine Vauxhall one with full Vauxhall warranty.
All I need to know is the colour (anthracite/silver or matt chrome)

If you are interested, email me direct on alan.steele @ steeles.co.uk
(missing out the spaces of course).

I had a Blaupunkt CD 6 disc multi changer already fitted into the glove box
of my old Vectra when I got it. Never had a problem with it. It was great.
    When I changed cars and went from a 97 2.0D to a 2000 SRI I enquired about
fitting the CD changer into my new vectra but was told (by various
specialists) to forget it because the connections weren't right. I thought
this to be strange but I did consult at least 8 different places. I still
have the Blaupunkt multi changer lying about in my house doing nothing.
Tried to sell it locally but got no offers. This was the only downside in
getting my SRI. If you want, you can buy my changer for 20 quid. I'd just be
happy to give it a new home....
