    Hi All
Does anybody know, please if the standard Vx glove box mounted CD player
    will play CDs & MP3s? I think it is a ??? 500 unit ??? - in a Vectra CD "Y"
reg just under 3 yrs old
    Many thanks

I think you might be confused here. The dash mounted single CD player is a
CDR500 whilst the radio/cassette that operates a glovebox mounted
    autochanger is a CCR600 or a CCRT700.

The CDR500 and the glovebox units are the only CD players out of these and
    they DO NOT play MP3s.

Vauxhall do aftermarket units that will and the latest factory fit units
(not yet available?) will be able to too.

    Hi Alan
Yes you are right - I goofed!
When I pulled the cassette out and checked the number it is the 600 unit.
Damn - fancy not playing MP3s.
Thanks anyhow, I was just hoping to upgrade some software on my pc and use
the MP3 space-saving format for the car. More choice, less space and fewer
    tears if they get stolen!
    Thanks anyhow.

    Hi,
Burn you C.D. in windows media player. With decent disc's, should be O.K.
