My 2.0l 1995 Cavalier with the X20XEV ecotec 16v engine needs the idle air
control valve cleaning out yet again with carb cleaner. Since I have had to
do this several times I thought that I would stump up and buy the oil
separator part no 9201848 - as fitted to a Vectra? Before I fit it I just
wanted to check which crankcase pipe ventilation hose I fit it into. I
assume that its the one on the front of the engine that goes from the cam
cover down to the metal pipe that goes next to the dip stick. Also which
way round should it be fitted - one hole has a metal gauze. Don't suppose
it will help much, but its got to be worth a try. Thanks for your help. Al

Should have a white dot on it - point this up. Yes you are guessing at the
right pipe. Just cut the rubber pipe to fit.

Many thanks for this info. Yes it has a white dot on the top and the wire
gauze is on the bottom exit. Will fit it tomorrow.
