    Hi,

I recently found reddish-brown dust in the distributor cap of my 1992
Astra F. I cleaned the cap and checked again 400 miles later and there
was some more of this dust in the cap. From newsgroup searches, it
would seem that the distributor bearing is slowly disintegrating,
although there is no play in the shaft yet. Is it possible to replace
this bearing without having to get a whole new distributor?

    John.
