I've got an 08 twintop (1.9 cdti) and as far as I can see there is no
switch for the glove box light. That could be a flat battery after a 2
week stay in the long-term carpark. Anybody else found this a problem?

The switch is part of the light itself and is turned off by the hinge so you
    can't see it.

In that case it isn't switching. I had doubts and fed a fibre optic into
the area and it certainly stays on. Warranty claim for dealer when
    convenient! Bulb out till then.

However most modern Vauxhalls now turn off any lights you've left on
by mistake after a short while (interior lights for example) to stop
    battery drain.

    Thanks for your input
Yes there is a switch, but it needed a bit of tweaking to work reliably
Yes it does turn off automatically, eventually, but gets a bit hot (6 w
    bulb)
Maybe a LED replacement is called for
