My Calibra won't start it just keeps turning, I've tried getting the coil
replaced to no avail, (the plugs aren't sparking) so the mechanic thinks it
could be the immobiliser (but it hasn't done this every time, it started and
    ran fine for a week)
Any idea what could be causing the problem?
    thanks
    Michael.

Are you getting fuel pressure too? Does the ECU light come on with ignition?

If you're getting the ECU light but no fuel/spark, then I would suspect the
crank sensor. If no ECU light then the injection control relay is prolly at
    fault.

The engine mgt light has always been off since this started happening, when
i unplugged/replugged the fuel relay it'd come on then go off again, a new
relay didn't do anything however i've left it alone since saturday and now
the mgt light is on everytime, is it likely to start? (i'll have to get jump
leads) as i've never been able to try it when that particular light is on

On an old cavalier I had that broek down twice the first time was a
faulty HT lead fromt he coild to the dizzy. The second time it was
the drive dog to the rotor arm that had disintegrated. Both meant
that the plugs had no spark.
