Due to vibration felt when braking my Corsa had the front discs replaced at
44,000 miles due to what the garage said was corrosion on the inner face of
one of the discs. The car is used five days a week for a 100+ mile commute,
used at the weekends so I cannot see how corrosion would set in. When
changing the discs I noticed that neither side would spin freely so I put it
more down to the discs being warped. Now at 54,000 and the problem seems to
be back, along with a clicking on gentle braking which vanishes when braking
hard. the original pads were less than half worn when replaced and I doubt
if these pads could be much worn too. The replacement discs and pads were
    genuine Vauxhall.
Anyone else had experience of the Corsa C being hard on disks? It's a 2005
1.2 SXi mainly used on motorway so never any real hard braking.

For corrosion just there it's likely the cylinder is sticking. Did you
check that while the caliper was off?

Everything seemed to move freely when I pressed the pistons back to fit the
new pads so I think they should be okay.

Car was back at the garage this morning, they have diagnosed a faulty CV
joint which will be getting done under warranty. It wasn't too long ago
that the rubber boot on this side had to get the metal strap replaced due to
the original one falling off and a lot of the grease lost from inside the
    boot.
