2004 gsi wire harness has melted

    One day the zaff did not start and found the fuse box wiring had melted so followed where it wired to and the complete harness had melted all through the dash and engine bay so now replaced the dash wiring with some added upgrades
    Now I’m on the engine bay where I found the possible problem with the alarm system sounder unit inside the drivers side wheel arch has any one had this problem and how did you overcome it
    Also if the wire harness dose melt do you think it could effect other stuff like flow sensors and the ecu
