2003 Reg 1.8 Vectras - loud metallic noise

Hi, I have just bought a 2003 reg 1.8 Vectra having driven one previously as
a rental. In both cars there is a loud metallic rattling which seems to be
coming from underneath the car (front or back I'm not sure). It's
particularly bad if I pull away with too few revs. If I had to guess at what
I thought it might be I would say it sounds like the exaust rattling in its
mountings.

I haven't contact Vauxhall yet, as I have heard the exact same sound in both
cars I was wondering whether this was a Vectra 'feature'. Has anyone else
experienced this, is it a known problem?

checked all the exhaust heat shields?

i can guarantee if noise is at very slow speeds an low revs it will be the
top radiator mounts (sounds silly but believe me) if im right let me
know.there are modified mounts available.

 

I agree with this. Either way, it will be a warranty job.
